How we serve agriculture shippers
Agricultural freight does not move evenly through the year. Planting inputs, harvest, and processing each create a different truck problem. DOF Ground covers those moves across the United States and Canada with dry van, flatbed, refrigerated trailers, and extra trucks when the season peaks.
Typical freight includes feed, fertilizer, packaged food ingredients, produce that has to stay cold, and forest products such as lumber and panels. Imported agricultural products that arrive in a container start with port drayage. From the warehouse they can be transloaded and sent inland by truck or rail.
What matters on these loads
- Harvest and planting weeks need capacity reserved before the product is ready.
- Produce and other perishables need a reefer setpoint, not a dry van.
- Lumber, panels, and bulkier farm freight usually belong on a flatbed.
