A plant stays open only if parts arrive when the line expects them. DOF Ground moves inbound components, packaging, and finished industrial freight across the United States and Canada. Repeating lanes can sit on a contract rate. A part that is already late moves expedited. Volume that can spare a day often costs less on intermodal.
Import containers of components start as drayage at the port or ramp, then go to the plant or to a warehouse for cross-dock. Less-than-truckload covers the supplier who is shipping a few pallets. Full truckload covers the supplier who fills a trailer. We do not operate car-hauler fleets for finished vehicles. We move the freight that feeds production and aftermarket distribution.
