What we move across the border
DOF Ground moves freight between the United States and Canada, and between the United States and Mexico. The service includes full truckload, less-than-truckload, intermodal, refrigerated, and flatbed, depending on the product. The goal is a crossing that is planned, not a truck sitting in line because a document is missing.
We coordinate the transportation and the handoff at the border. Your customs broker clears the entry. We work with that broker on timing and paperwork so the carrier, the documents, and the appointment match. Shipments move under the rules of the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement.
Canada and Mexico
The U.S.-Canada border is long, and the right crossing depends on the lane, not on a single gateway. We plan the Canadian move the same way we plan a domestic one: equipment, appointment, and a carrier who can legally run that side of the border.
Mexico moves follow the same idea. Nearshoring has added plants that need a steady truck into and out of the United States. We match the equipment and a carrier who knows that lane, and we keep the customs step in the schedule instead of treating it as a surprise at the bridge.
- Commercial invoices, packing lists, and the broker’s instructions before the truck is dispatched.
- A carrier authorized for the countries on the route.
- Tracking through the crossing, not only on the domestic miles.
Three countries
United States, Canada, and Mexico. The mode can be truckload, LTL, intermodal, reefer, or flatbed.
Customs
Your broker files the entry. We time the truck and the documents so the load is ready when it reaches the border.
Who to call
Cross-border questions can start with the team, or with a live domestic rate in Pioneer AI when the move is LTL, intermodal, or drayage.
